Dr. Keith has given more than a thousand presentations in the United States and thirteen countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is known throughout the world as the author of the Paradoxical Commandments, which he first published in 1968. Did you know that Father's Day was founded in Spokane, Washington, at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd? Its first celebration was in the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910. Dodd’s father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there. After hearing a sermon on Mother’s Day, the younger Dodd thought it only fair that fathers should have a similar holiday honoring them.
